Aging Nicely...merges with whatever this is

Well, no point in overcrowding the site by writing every single thought that comes into your head.

Honestly, I had completely forgotten about this site and now that I am looking for a blog site, why not take this one up again (?).

I have a lot on my mind these days and I wanted someplace to share it. Of course, you have to find it.

I have been retired for 8 years. I always thought that my retirement would be a segue to a new career. I even know what I want to do, but things, or rather people, get in my way. I want to be a life coach or a personal counselor. I have no idea how to begin and I have very mixed feelings about the concept. I know that degreed people who dispense advice, often fall short of what is needed. I believe that at this point in my life and with my years of experience interacting with assorted age groups, I have some advice to offer to those who want it. I am not going to start dispensing unsolicited advice, so my children don't need to start hiding in fear.

I am the the child of "this is none of my business, but...". So I know how well that is received.

My aim is to help those who are specifically seeking my advice, in areas in which I have some experience and knowledge.

I am going to use my time away to get organized and I hope that this blog will offer me a place to do
that.

Obviously, that went well...not! I have long forgotten about this site. I think I do give advice to those who ask. I am way too disorganized to set myself up in business. I do think I would be a good counselor...I can say "how do you feel about that..." just as well as the next guy.
